Tenancy in common
Form of joint property ownership where each owner has a defined share.
Tenancy in common is a form of joint property ownership where each co-owner has a defined share (e.g. 70/30) that doesn't auto-pass to the survivor. Tax-useful for splitting rental income unequally between spouses (with Form 17).
