Student loan deductions
Auto-deducted from PAYE or via Self Assessment above plan thresholds.
Student loan deductions are auto-deducted from PAYE (or paid via SA for self-employed). Plan 2 (post-2012): 9% above £27,295. Plan 1 (pre-2012): 9% above £24,990. Plan 4 (Scotland): 9% above £31,395. Plan 5 (2023+): 9% above £25,000.
