CIS card
Contractor verification card under the Construction Industry Scheme.
A CIS card historically referred to the Construction Industry Scheme registration card sub-contractors received. It's now replaced by online verification — HMRC verifies sub-contractors via reference number, and contractors check status via the Government Gateway.
