Brought forward
A loss or unused allowance carried over from a previous year.
Brought forward means a balance — usually a tax loss or unused allowance — carried over from a previous year. Trading losses can be brought forward indefinitely against future profits of the same trade. Capital losses carry forward against future capital gains.
Always report losses on the year's SA return so they're registered with HMRC for future use.
